Ms. RyLeigh Humphrey
Welcome! I am a new teacher here at EHMS for the 2023-24 school year. I am incredibly excited to join the East Ham Fam and get into the classroom as a 6th Grade ELA Teacher!
I graduated from Lee University in May 2023 with my Bachelor of Arts in English, with an emphasis in 6-12 Teacher Education. While at Lee, I established myself within the English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta.
I fell in love with the ELA subject when I was in high school, but I have enjoyed reading and writing ever since I was in elementary school. It is my passion to show students the wonders that reading can bring to them while they enhance their ELA skills in my classroom.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cooking, and walking around Target aimlessly. Crafting is a big hobby of mine, and I most often am creating items such as earrings and artisan crafts. In 2022, I created my own small business to share my crafts with others.
I can't wait to be in the classroom with my 6th graders, where we will grow in our knowledge. Go Canes!
