I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a degree in Anthropology and Portuguese. After graduation I moved to South America to continue working on my foreign language skills and lived there for eight years, working in gastronomy, tourism and hospitality, business, research and writing, and teaching; attending graduate school at Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina and Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogota; and getting married.
I moved back to Tennessee in 2020 and brought my wife and son over in 2021. I taught high school Spanish and adult ESL in the Upper Cumberland region for three years before moving to the Chattanooga area. On nights and weekends I work on my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction at Tennessee Tech University.
